Troop 2150 was established in 1996, and is chartered by VFW Post 2150.
The troop is proud have had four scouts earn the rank of Eagle. Three of those
four young men still serve the troop as adult leaders. We average 14 scouts in
the troop, with seven adult leaders and seven committee members.
Scout meetings are held in a donated farm
house, on 200 acres of open land. The scouts are developing their own campsite
(Camp Babyhead) on the property, with a goal of developing enough area to be
able to invite other troops to camp.
Weekly meetings are held on Tuesday nights
from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The PLC meets monthly at 6:30 PM. We try to hold Court Of
Honor on a quarterly basis.
The troop is made up of 4 patrols: Comanche,
Eagle, Buffalo and Rattlesnake.
The troop's focus is on camping and high
adventure. We attempt to camp 10 months out of the year, avoiding July and
August, as it gets awfully hot in Texas.
Visit the CAMPING page for a list
of our past camping locations.
